Volunteer hours for school can be done at the club! Contact us if you’re interested in volunteering, with our summer kids programs, for facility and equipment maintenance, or something else.

Summer Programs

Youth Sprint is the term we use for all of our U14 programs together—Canoe Kids (U8-U10 weekly), Sprint Starter (U11-U14 weekly intro), Youth Sprint (U11-U14 racing members), and any other intro programs. Youth Sprint programs will often coordinate resources and coaching.

Summer Program Coaches: Coaches for our summer programs will be responsible for supervising and developing our under-14 paddlers in Canoe Kids, Sprint Starter, Youth Sprint, or some combination of those. Priority will be on creating a fun, active learning environment, and targeting specific development to each paddler. Summer coaches will work under the direction of senior coaches and program leaders. Each coach will have daily and weekly assignments, based on program needs and identified group objectives.

Administrative Assistant: A part time role which will support a variety of the club functions from May until September.

Spring Youth Sprint Coaches: The Youth Sprint program starts in May, as well as some introductory programs. Positions for the spring will be offered to selected candidates from the Summer Youth Sprint coaching staff, to create as much continuity as possible across the whole training and racing season.

Masters Program Coach

The Masters Sprint membership is for anyone 25+ who wants to be part of our competition team. The Masters Program Coach will report to the Head Coach while maintaining autonomy in running practices for their assigned groups with the focus being on maintaining quality coaching for all athletes.
